World's Best Chocolate Chocolate Chip Cookies

100_2275

Not only are these the best-tasting chocolate chocolate chip cookies you'll ever taste, they're the easiest to make too. Since these cookies are baked using a store-bought cake mix, it might be a stretch to say these cookies are actually made from scratch, but they're most definitely not store-bought.

Either way, this cake mix cookie recipe is super-easy to make and you'll end up with delicious, chocolately cookies that stay soft and moist. My kids love these cookies so much they ask me to make them for their birthday parties instead of a birthday cake, and they are a big hit with all the guests.

I don't think I'll ever be making cookies completely from scratch again.

Chocolate Chocolate Chip Cookies

  • 1 box chocolate cake mix (I used Pillsbury Dark Chocolate for these cookies, but I've used Devils food before as well with great success)
  • 1 egg
  • 1 stick butter, softened
  • 2 Tablespoons water (I don't measure the water, but just add some if the batter is too stiff)
  • 1/2 cup chocolate chips

Mix all the ingredients together thoroughly; the batter will be fairly stiff. Spoon the batter onto ungreased cookie sheets and bake in 350 degree oven for 10-12 minutes. Makes 24 ultra-yummy cookies that will probably last about 2.4 seconds on the cooling rack.

IF you have a better chocolate chocolate chip cookie recipe, please let me know as I love these cookies.

These are super yummy with white cake mix too. And extra chocolate chips of course. 🙂

ooo – I should remember this recipe when I find myself out of flour or sugar and the kids (or my cravings) are begging for cookies! YUM!

These look soooo good. And EASY. I'm definitely going to try them. I used to buy my son these giant cookies for his lunch, but my grocery store stopped stocking them. This looks like the kind of cookie that will cause friends to hover around him.

I made these up yesterday when I decided we "needed" some cookies at the last minute. I made mine with mini choc chips and rolled them in 1 " balls before baking. They turned out super cute and really tasty. What a great use for a cake mix I didn't need anyhow- thanks!
