I homeschooled my three kids for seventeen years, all the way through graduation. My youngest started homeschooling in kindergarten, and the other two started in 1st and 3rd grade.
Everything on fivejs.com came out of those homeschooling years. The charts, the planners, and the printables mostly exist because I needed something that wasn’t out there, so I created it. And it turned out other homeschool families needed it too.
My kids have all graduated now—and if you followed me before, you may recall those three kids turned into six after we adopted three young adults—and most of them are now married. In 2023, my husband and I moved to northwest Arkansas, where I fell in love with hiking and started Hike NWA, a nonprofit that helps people get onto the trails when they don’t know where to begin. I no longer homeschool, but I continue to create resources to help others.
Everything here on fivejs.com is free—and it’s staying that way. If you find something of benefit here on the site, please consider donating to my nonprofit, Hike NWA.
About the site
Five J’s ran from 2007 to 2025. This is a rebuilt version of it—smaller, faster, and stripped down to the things people still ask for. The downloads are all here. Putting the rest of the articles back is a work in progress.
If there was something on the old site you miss, tell me and I will see about bringing it back.
