There's Nothing More Romantic Than a Man in an Apron

Man in Apron

And my husband wears his apron very well! Well…okay…he doesn't really wear an apron, but he does do a ton of housework. And there's nothing more romantic than when a man figuratively wears and apron!

He does the laundry. In fact, I don't do laundry at all anymore. Jeff took that over a long time ago. Fridays, his day off work, is laundry day. He sorts, washes, dries, and folds. What a man! (And he's only ruined a couple of my sweaters *smile*.)

He does the dishes. Not all the time, but when it needs to be done, and I haven't gotten to it yet, he doesn't think twice about loading or unloading the dishwasher. He's especially good at doing the dishes if I've spent a lot of time making dinner. And I don't even have to ask him!

He scrubs the shower. This is another area that he's completely taken over. I can't even remember the last time I've cleaned the shower. And he's really good at it too.

He cooks. Not always, but he does make a mean stir fry!

I don't know about you, but I don't think there's anything more romantic than a man in an apron. If you're familiar with the five love languages, I think you'll know what I'm talking about here. Flowers don't do anything for me; but do the laundry or the dishes, and I'm swooning!

I thank God everyday that he gave me such a wonderful husband!

My husband does so much around the house and it is sexy, sweet, romantic and such a blessing.

You are absolutely right. Last week I was really sick and my husband cooked the meals and entertained the kids so I could rest. Every week he vacuums because he says that no one else can do it as well.

What a blessing! 😀 My husband helps out when he can and tries to make sure that I am appreciated.

I agree 100%. My hubs has moved to OR while we wait for our house in IN to sell. He's been having to do all his own housework, shopping & cooking. When he came home he was such a big help. I think he finally understood what I'd been asking him to do all those years.

I told my hubs years ago, if he bought me flowers I better be dead. NOT my idea of romantic.

    Amen sister! lol
Hubby steps up to the plate a lot around here. He will cook when needed, scrub the shower, bath the kids, clean out the whole fridge (just wrote a post about that one!) and whatever else is needed. Love that!

Just last night I was dragging my feet going to bed because I knew there was laundry on it waiting to be folded before I could find a spot to sleep. When I went into the room…there was Matt standing there folding the LAST of the clothes. What a guy.

Lest you all get the wrong idea, I can still be a complete lazy-slob-couch-potato when the situation calls for it.

    😉

    Love you, Joy!
