NOTE: Sorry that I'm so late in posting this. This last year has been SO busy for our family—we adopted an 18-year-old, we launched a nonprofit for foster youth aging out of foster care, my husband totally changed careers, and we're getting re-licensed to foster/adopt teens—that updating this calendar fell really low on my priority list.
As you know, if you homeschool, it's really, REALLY important to plan ahead. This printable school calendar is a very easy way to plan for the school year, especially since you can easily color code things for readability.
I've again included three versions of the the 14-month calendar so you can choose one that starts either in June, July, or August. That way if your school year starts at a different time than ours does, you'll be able to use whichever calendar suits you best.
Using the calendar is quite simple. You can fill in the key at the bottom to indicate different types of days such as field trips, holidays, full days, half days, or whatever you want.
Like last year, I've added an additional column to the right of Saturday in each calendar to use as you wish. If you want to count days present, or weeks of school, or whatever, you can easily do that in this extra column. (Thanks to Lisa for that suggestion!)
Several years ago a reader suggested using highlighters to mark the days. That way the day is colored, but you can still easily see the date. Here's an example of using a highlighter on the calendar.
