Our First Day of Letterboxing

We were finally able to go letterboxing yesterday, and the weather couldn't have been better. It was in the low 70s, there were just a few clouds in the sky, and for once the wind wasn't blowing 25 MPH.

We went to a park that had walking trails and found all three boxes we were looking for. Joely even got to "find" the last box. She stood by the last landmark in the clue, and then Jeff read her the rest of the clue and she was able to locate the box correctly on her own (well, at least mostly on her own).

The entire family agrees it was a very enjoyable day. We plan to do a little more letterboxing today as well.

Since yesterday was also a special day for one of our kids, we splurged and went out to lunch at Pizza Hut. Although we used the kids' Book It! coupons, we still purchased three medium pizzas (three Mias for $15) so we would have leftovers. Don't you just love having cold pizza for breakfast? Mmmmm, mmmm!
