Jaden's Oven Baked Chicken Strips

An example of teaching life skills to  homeschool kids is learning to cook by doing . Oven baked chicken strips were Jaden's choice for this exercise.

Jaden's Saturday meal was moved to Monday this week because of our schedule over the weekend. He chose to make oven baked chicken strips after I showed him this post by The Happy Housewife.

Instead of chicken legs (I have this thing with eating meat off a bone), he used boneless skinless chicken tenderloins, and they turned out so delicious—moist and flavorful. He baked them for 30 minutes at 350 degrees, but other than that, we followed The Happy Housewife's recipe exactly.

    Jaden-

I am so proud of you making the chicken!

I like chicken breasts better myself, but chicken legs are cheaper! Your chicken looks absolutely delicious! I'm making pretzels today, if they turn out I'll give your mom the recipe.
