How a Spider Builds a Web…

…in our ceiling fan!

Jaden noticed this little spider building a web between the lights of our living room ceiling fan. We studied spiders a couple years ago, and the kids have been fascinated with spiders ever since, so the kids have requested that I not kill this one (which they have affectionately named Sawyer, after the LOST character). But that will probably be unavoidable if we want to use the fan in the future—and I'm thinking, since we live in Texas, we'll probably want to use it!

Great shot, seriously! It's so hard to capture a spider web because the threads are like gossamer. I'd have "rescued" him to the great out-of-doors, however! 😉
