I am exhausted! I feel like I've been on my feet all day—I haven't—but I sure feel like it.
After leaving home at 9:30 this morning, I began my whirlwind day which consisted of:
- picking up lights for my Fall Festival booth from a friend's house
- setting up the lights in my booth
- stapling paper to the wall
- setting up tables for our homeschool club
- scarfing down applesauce and two peanut butter and jelly sandwiches for lunch
- co-leading a discussion of Heaven for Kids
- having a discussion about Lexile reading levels with three other homeshooling moms
- leading a book club discussion with four boys
- discussing my account over the phone with my dentist's office manager
- researching Samaritan Ministries online for a friend
- setting up tables for our church's Wednesday meal
- driving into town
- getting stuck in traffic
- dropping off the homeschool association newsletter file at Office Max
- picking up an anti-barking collar for our beagle from Petsmart
- going to Wal-Mart (always a harrowing experience) to buy last minute supplies for the Fall Festival
- getting stuck in traffic again
- returning library books that were due today
- paying a bill
- making a wrong turn onto the highway
- picking up my kids at a friend's house
- picking up my husband from work
- grabbing a quick bit to eat (two cinnamon bagels and a glass of milk)
- dressing my kids in their costumes
- painting my daughter's face as Raggedy Ann
- rushing back to church just in the nick of time
- setting up my photo equipment
- tracking down the owner of the photo printer so she can explain to me where I'm supposed to put the photo paper in the printer
- taking a couple dozen photos of costumed kids
- figuring out why some of the photos won't print
- printing and distributing photos
- tearing down the backdrop
- cleaning up the room and putting it back into order for Sunday School
- eating two slices of cold pizza on the way home
- straightening up the mess in the living room that we left in our hurried rush at dinnertime
- throwing (not literally of course) the girls in the shower
- and then finally sitting down to blog!
Whew! I'm glad today's nearly over!
