Randy Alcorn is one of my all-time favorite authors.
I was actually introduced to Randy's writing over ten years ago when I happened upon a booklet he wrote entitled Does the Birth Control Pill Cause Abortions? (The full version of the booklet can be found here.)
From there I discovered he was also a Christian fiction writer, somewhat in the same strain as Frank Peretti—only Randy deals a lot with Heaven instead of the spiritual dimension on earth like Peretti often does.
Randy has written some fantastic fiction books, many of which will always remain in our own family library. When someone asks me to suggest a Christian book for them to read, Randy's books are almost always one of the first I recommend.
We also subscribe (for free) to Randy's quarterly newsletter. Jeff and I both enjoy his articles that delve into ethics and some of the more difficult aspects of Christianity.
If you haven't heard of Randy Alcorn before, I would recommend you check him out!

Joy, which is your favorite book of his? We have both only read Safely Home but we LOVED it so much (we've both read it twice actually). It is the only Randy Alcorn fiction book our library carries, and I haven't been able to decide which one to get on interlibrary loan yet. We'd both love your suggestions!
