It&#039;s the take-home version of putting your baby under the lights in the hospital to treat jaundice. Joely was our only child to have this problem. She was born at 39 weeks and the others were 40 and 41 weeks so they didn&#039;t suffer from jaundice at all, but Joely was born earlier so her body couldn&#039;t handle the bilirubin as well.
She only had to wear the blanket for about a week, though, so the discomfort didn&#039;t last long. And really, that picture of her crying is a rare one since she rarely cried as a baby.
