"Musical Rooms"

Now that Jaden's in his new room, we worked on moving Joely into her new room (formerly Jaden's room) today. So, we emptied out the room, cleaned it, taped off the trim, painted, and moved furniture in.

This is the first time either of the girls has ever had a "girly" room, so Joely is extremely excited about it.

It was also a very inexpensive makeover (I'm all about saving money!) as the only thing we bought (other than the paint) was the curtains (from IKEA) and the lamp (also from IKEA). Everything else we already had. Thankfully, Joely had chosen a great color for her walls (Valspar's "Frosted Clover") that coordinated with her bedding already.

I ended up painting the majority of the room myself as Jeff decided while we were cleaning the room this morning that Joely's brown bed would look great painted white! So he spent all day painting the bed, and I think it turned out perfect for the room.

Tomorrow we tackle Jerah's room—which is a VERY daunting task! Right now there's so much "stuff" on her floor that you can't even see the carpet! On top of that, Jeff and I have both come down with colds today, so we may not even feel up to doing anything with the room tomorrow. But if we do, I'll post pictures!
