Only a few weeks ago we had to replace the ceramic cooktop on our range. Now our dishwasher needs to be fixed!
But at least this appliance breakdown isn't as big a deal as the stove was. In fact, it might turn out to be a very good thing. We're actually washing dishes after every meal to keep the dishes from stacking up. And it's forcing us all to be a little more aware of how many dishes we use a day.
I'm in no hurry to get it fixed (I can't believe I just typed that!).

I totally understand what you mean! Sometimes modern conveniences make us lazy. Back in the day when women had to hand-wash clothing, I doubt they let things pile up the way people do now.
And it's always a good education for the kiddos to learn to do things "the old-fashioned way"!
