Menu Plan Monday (and a "3 Moms" summary of the weekend…)

Our weekend was a hodge-podge of meals. The kids spent the night at a friend's house, so our planned Friday meal of oven-baked chicken strips and potato fries was bumped to Saturday night. The rest of the time we've just been Yo-Yoing.

I've definitely realized that I need to plan for our non-meals a lot better…well, planning at all for them would be good for a start. We've been at a loss for creativity the last few days, and peanut butter and jelly has gotten really old! I'm learning from my mistakes, so my menu plan for June will hopefully be a lot more detailed than it was this month.

As for this upcoming week, this final week of May, here's my plan for our dinners. Other meals are still undecided as we'll simply be emptying out the pantry.

  • Dinner: Baked Beans & Cornbread, Baked Potatoes, Sandwiches, Chicken Taco Soup, Homemade Pizza

For more menu plans (which are probably more complete than mine), check out Organizing Junkie's site.

I'm sure Toni and Kate will have their menu plans up as well, so head on over there, too!

  1. Joy- I am sure I have mentioned this before, but I think you would do well with freezer meals, then Jaden could pop them in the oven while you are teaching piano.

    Just my $0.02.

Thank you for all the motivation you 3 have provided me! It was very nice to email with you. Your encouragement gave me the extra umph I needed to keep going on the home cooked path. The family is definitely happy. As we drove by McDonalds the other day, we were all trying to figure out what the "smell" was, then we realized it was McDonalds. The kids were grossed out that we used to eat there (probably way too often, at that!).
