I've read many blogs, but never did I think that one day I'd be writing my own.
Never say never.
For several years I emailed "family updates" to family and friends around the U.S., detailing the mundane and not-so-mundane happenings around the house. But for the last several months I seem to have misplaced my motivation for communicating by email (like I tend to misplace just about everything else around the house). Maybe it's because I do so much emailing every day for my other outside responsibilities I have that I am just too burnt out to sit down at the iMac and type out a few hundred words.
Whatever the reason for my lack of email communication, I am now attempting to reform. But not via email.
My husband has been blogging for quite a long time, so I guess I'm just "going with the flow." My kids even started blogging on their own blogs yesterday—my most recent attempt to get them to write more often! So far their enthusiasm is overflowing, but we'll just have to wait to see how long it lasts.
I'm a homeschooling mother of three fantastic kids, ages 10 (Jaden, a boy), 8 (Jerah, a girl), and 5 (Joely, a girl). This is our third year to homeschool. My husband is a minister of music at a local church. I teach piano lessons from my home (I currently have 12 students). As for hobbies, I like to read…no, strike that—I love to read. Fiction, non-fiction, you name it; I'm a self-proclaimed book nut.
Stay tuned for the adventures of the Five J's family!
