Garage Conversion: It's FINISHED!

Believe it or not, the garage conversion is finally finished! This is what we did today:

  1. installed the carpet
  2. weather stripped and insulated (at least a little bit) the attic access
  3. installed the outlet covers & closet doorknobs
  4. installed two breakers
  5. installed a smoke detector
  6. installed the ceiling fan
  7. touched up some paint
  8. hung window shade and curtains
  9. organized the storage portion of the garage
  10. moved Jaden into his room! (after assembling his IKEA wardrobe, lamp, desk, and night stand)

Can you say excited? We still have little "clean up" things to do (like touching up the trim and paint a little bit more), but it's completely livable.

Our next project is moving Joely into her new room (Jaden's old room) which involves cleaning it out completely and painting! Following that, we'll be painting Jerah's room.

LOVE IT!!! You guys did an awesome job. I am planning on doing the same… I would love to start babysitting from home and using my garage as a big fun playroom for the kids… A chalk wall would also be fun… I am so excited… Thanks for the pics…
