Does your child draw a blank when told to write creatively? Is it hard for them to come up with a story starter? Does your child love to write stories? My 13-year-old daughter adores writing, especially since she was introduced to the One Year Adventure Novel curriculum a few years ago.
But really, she comes by her love of writing naturally. My husband has been writing practically his whole life, and is currently working on publishing his first full-length novel, an epic fantasy story called The Foundlings—actually the first of a trilogy—that has been in his head since he was a child. (By the way, The Foundlings is a great fit for homeschoolers who love fantasy. I'll be sharing more about his book when it comes out on Amazon next month.)
Story Starter Ideas for Writers
To help other writers get their imaginations started, my husband has started a series on his blog called Story Seeds, which are fresh story ideas he's sharing. If your child is an aspiring fiction writer, these story starter ideas might be fun to share with them.
