Finer Things Fridays: Milk and Cookies

May 21, 2009

gotmilk

Some things never get old. As a child, I remember my mom making us chocolate chip cookies, limiting us kids to three or four cookies each…and how we would sneak a few extra whenever we could…and how we'd always eat the raw cookie dough!

Even now as an adult, making homemade cookies and eating them fresh out of the oven with a cool glass of milk is one of my favorite things. It's amazing how aromas like fresh-baked cookies can remind me so much of my childhood.

And in the last few years I've started our own family tradition by having my kids help me bake the cookies. Hopefully when they're adults they'll continue to do the same thing with their own children. That would definitely be a Finer Thing!

Yes! Baking cookies with my mom is a good memory from my childhood, and now my son likes to help me bake. This is definitely one of the finer things in life.

My kids LOVE baking cookies (if you can call cutting up store bought cookie dough and popping it into the oven baking, lol.)

I recently made peanut butter cookies and they were amazing fresh out of the oven!

Fresh out of the oven is absolutely the only way to eat a cookie. Love the photo!
