Finer Things Friday: Sew Much Fun

finer_things_friday

Jerah has had the chance to attend sewing camp last summer and then a 4-hr sewing camp this last weekend. Joely has been watching Jerah learn to sew and make all sorts of things (from t-shirts to duffle bags), and she's wanted to do it too.

So this week, when the older two kids were at a friend's house, Joely got out the sewing machine and I showed her how to use it. Then she proceeded to make a couple project with some scrap material mostly on her own. She made a pillow and a "dress" for her stuffed puppy dog, complete with a sash and button.

It was awesome to see her so eager to learn and create. Most definitely a Finer Thing!
