A man was recently the victim of a hit and run, and close to a dozen people walked or drove by his battered body without taking the time to call 911. This isn't a fictional story; this happened in Hartford. In our own country.
How sad that people in America can care so little for each other that they'd rather gawk than help. This isn't even the story of the Good Samaritan, because it took a cop stopping to help this poor man.

My husband saw that story on a news clip on the internet the other day and showed it to me. We were in shock that so many walked right by without even a glance! How sad that people behave that way.

That is sad! I think alot of people nowadays don't think they have the time to help others. That along with just being pure selfish. Or they are afraid that they might be sued or something.
Truly is sad that people would rather stand and gawk then to help save a life.

What happened was sad yes…. what I am most shocked by is the fact people were surprised this happened….. this kind of thing happens all the time…. husband beat their wives, parents rape their children, parent torture their own children and others…. horrific things happen every day in every neighborhood… and many times "someone" knows and doesn't report it.
How would I know, I am a wife to a policeman and I know first hand…. sad very sad.
