Christmas Program

The kids' Christmas Program (which I co-directed) went very well yesterday, thank goodness. The congregation laughed all the way through it, which was what we wanted. There was only one major glitch the entire time, but it came across as a very comedic moment, so it worked well.

Jerah had a speaking part in the play—Nannette Noel Baum (sister of Tanya Nacht Baum, AKA Tan N. Baum—so punny).

The video below shows the three Baums (Tan N. Baum, Nan N. Baum, and Dan N. Baum) singing their winning song from the 1979 Christmas Star Competition entitled "The Hustle Bustle." It elicited several guffaws and even more chuckles from the congregation. (Jerah's in the center of the trio.)

Joely was a cheerleader in the play. Their squad performed "The Perfect Christmas Cheer" as you can see below. Can someone say adorable? (Joely is the fourth cheerleader from the left.)

And did I mention that I'm SO glad the musical is over? Now I can look forward to planning VBS come January!
