Blog Background Generators

I've been doing a lot of blog designing and re-designing lately, and since I'm still pretty new at this whole messing-with-the-code thing, I didn't know how to do more than just change the color of a background. But then I decided to use Google to help me find some background generators. And I found a couple of sites with decent generators with which I made tileable backgrounds for the various sites I was working on.

So if you're in the market for a blog-background update, you might want to check these sites out as well.

  • BGPatterns lets you choose a single image, from their selections, and then tile that image over a textured and custom colored background. The image can be scaled, rotated, and its opacity can also be changed.
  • PatternCooler gives you more options and control over colors. You can select one of their patterns and then customize each individual color. Then you adjust the scale of the pattern before you download the file for use.

  1. JOY!!! I can't tell you how much I love you for this post! WOW..wow! WOW! Seriously! I am self teaching myself all about html and CSS codes too.. woo wee.. is it me or is this stuff TIME consuming or what?? Man! It's fun tho! :)

Thanks so much for the 2 sites you recommended! I have searched and searched and obviously was not using the right words in my searching. I have only designed 3 blogs thus far, but I am loving the results that I have been getting. People really love a fresh look don't they? Beautiful job on your 3!
