Back from the dead?

Any rumors you might have heard that I have fallen off the face of the earth are extremely exaggerated. Although I am sure it has seemed that I have vanished without a trace, reports of my permanent disappearance are definitely premature.

I'm actually on vacation.

Yes, you read that right. Vacation.

Can you believe it? I can hardly believe it myself, but it's true. Although we've gone only 250 miles from home, we currently have no work-related responsibilities, and we feel great! We're returning home tomorrow, but we'll remain hermits, secluded from the "real world" with the phone off the hook, until next Monday morning when Jeff has to return to work. We've really been looking forward to this down time. And maybe that's one reason that I haven't blogged about much of anything lately. I needed to de-stress first.

Either way, my blog drought is getting a bit of a sprinkle today with this post, even thought there's not much substance in it.

But while I'm here, I want to point you in the direction of a brand-new blog my blogging friend Amy has just started called Amy's Finer Things. You need to head on over there and check out what she has to say. You'll be glad you did!

Well, until vacation is over, I may not be blogging much (which I'm sure you're unfortunately getting used to by now). But then again, you never know. I might get bit by the blogging bug again before our vacation is officially over, but I'm not promising anything. I really need this break from "life" so that I can jump back in with both feet next week.

So until then, continue to enjoy your summer!

I was wondering!! I figured it had to be vacation or just life that happens that was keeping you away!

Enjoy this refreshing time with your family!
