A 9-Year-Old's Perspective on the Story of Jairus' Daughter

100_0040

Last week I Twittered asking for suggestions of a topic for Jerah's writing assignment. Rhen suggested having her write about her favorite Bible passage. This was the amusing result:

Jairus' daughter is my favorite story in the Bible. It is about Jairus' daughter who died but Jesus said she was just sleeping and he brought her back to life.

This story could make an impact on your life if you do what the girl's father, Jairus, did. He trusted in Jesus even after his daughter had died. So trust in Jesus no matter what happens.

If I had been the girl's mother, I would be amazed. If I was one of the men who didn't believe Jesus could do anything, I would probably faint.

If I was the girl and if I was sleeping and I woke up and saw everyone's astonished faces, I would probably be like, "Why is everyone staring at me?"

What an awesome God we serve!
